Sync keeps going after your Mac wakes, an Assistant that leads with your day, and brain dump for turning everything on your mind into tasks.

Fixed

• Sync no longer stops after your Mac wakes — if the network wasn’t back the moment your Mac woke, Meridian could stop syncing your accounts and hold everything you’d sent, messages included, until the app was restarted. It now keeps trying until it gets through, and if it can’t reach Meridian for more than a minute the status bar says so instead of showing your items as sending.
• A busy day no longer buries the calendar — a task with only a date now stays in your to-dos until it has a time, instead of sitting in the all-day row as if it were planned. The all-day row also shows a few items and a “+N more” you can click, so the hours always stay on screen.
• Calendars you turn off leave the calendar — events from a calendar you’d switched off still appeared. They’re hidden now, and come straight back when you turn the calendar on again.
• The daily digest includes repeating meetings, and stops rewriting itself — it missed repeating events, so it could describe a clear day that wasn’t. It also regenerated every time a message arrived; it now updates once a day, or when you ask.
• Semantic search works on new installs again — a change at the site that hosts the search model left new installs unable to download it.
• Text no longer appears upside down — on Macs with the Inter font installed, some of Meridian’s text could render flipped or mirrored.
• Search finds words in tables — words in neighbouring table cells were joined into one, so a message could be seen but not found by either word. Previews also no longer show a message’s hidden style code.
• Replies go to the right people — Reply All no longer adds “undisclosed-recipients”, and a reply to a mailing list goes to the list. Invitations from Apple Calendar now match their events.
• The duplicate contacts finder is more careful — numbers like 1-800-FLOWERS and 1-800-GOT-JUNK counted as the same number, and so did two extensions on one switchboard.
• Birthdays and anniversaries land on the right day — in the evening, cards could announce a birthday a day early.
• Smaller fixes — Storage settings open instantly, calendar choices no longer show long machine ids under their names, and problem reports strip more personal detail, including email addresses at the end of a sentence and your account name in file paths.

• The Assistant leads with your day — today’s schedule and the daily digest sit at the top and fold away when you’re done. Everything else is grouped by what it needs from you: items waiting on you, today, coming up, pinned, and suggestions, which start folded so nothing Meridian proposes competes with someone waiting on a reply.
• Brain dump — type or dictate everything on your mind, and Meridian turns it into a list of tasks with dates, priorities and groups filled in where it can. Fix, split or drop any of them before anything is saved. Open it from the command palette.
• Fold sections in To-Dos — sections in By Group and By Status can be collapsed, and stay that way after you relaunch.
• Event descriptions are readable — descriptions from Zoom, Calendly and other schedulers no longer arrive as code or one long line, and their links are clickable. Opening an event no longer saves its description back to your calendar.
• An email when you’re given a free month — if we add a free month to your account, you’ll get an email saying so.
