Download and install Meridian on your Mac

System Requirements

Meridian requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) running macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. Intel Macs are not supported.

Download

Download the latest version of Meridian from the official website or the Downloads page.

Install

Install Meridian the same way you would any other macOS application:

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
2. Drag Meridian into your Applications folder.
3. Eject the disk image.

First Launch

When you open Meridian for the first time, macOS Gatekeeper may display a security prompt because the app was downloaded from the internet. Click Open to continue.

Meridian automatically downloads a recommended on-device AI model in the background. Model sizes range from roughly 270 MB to 2 GB for most Macs, depending on your hardware and model choice. The rest of the app remains usable while the download completes.
