Download and install Meridian on your Mac

System Requirements

Meridian runs on macOS. Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later) are recommended for the full experience, including on-device AI features. Intel-based Macs are supported, but on-device AI capabilities are not available on those machines.

Download

Download the latest version of Meridian from the official website or the Downloads page.

Install

Install Meridian the same way you would any other macOS application:

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag Meridian into your Applications folder.
  3. Eject the disk image.

First Launch

When you open Meridian for the first time, macOS Gatekeeper may display a security prompt because the app was downloaded from the internet. Click Open to continue.

On Apple Silicon Macs, Meridian will automatically download the on-device AI model during the first launch. This is a one-time download of approximately 2 GB. The app is fully usable while the download completes in the background.
