Connecting Your Accounts
Meridian syncs with the tools you already use. Connect your accounts once and everything stays in sync automatically.
Supported Providers
- Gmail — Read, send, archive, star, and manage your email
- Google Calendar — View and manage all your calendars and events
Microsoft 365
- Outlook Email — Read, send, archive, and manage your email
- Outlook Calendar — View and manage your calendars and events
How to Connect an Account
- Open Meridian and go to Connections in the sidebar
- Click Add Connection
- Choose your provider (Google or Microsoft)
- Sign in and authorize Meridian in the browser window that opens
- Meridian will discover all available channels (inboxes, calendars, etc.)
- Enable the channels you want to sync
- The initial sync will begin automatically
Managing Channels
Each connection can have multiple channels — for example, your Google account might have Gmail plus several Google Calendars.
- Enable or disable individual channels at any time
- Rename channels for easier identification
- Changes take effect immediately
Multiple Accounts
You can connect as many accounts as you need. Have a personal Gmail and a work Microsoft account? Connect both. All your email and calendar data will appear together in Meridian.
Disconnecting an Account
- Go to Connections in the sidebar
- Find the connection you want to remove
- Click Disconnect
Disconnecting removes the sync and revokes Meridian’s access. Your data in the external provider is never modified or deleted.
Troubleshooting
“Connection needs to be reconnected”
This means your authorization token has expired or been revoked. Click the connection and re-authorize it. This can happen if you changed your password or revoked access from your Google or Microsoft security settings.
Sync seems stuck
Meridian syncs automatically on a schedule (default: every 15 minutes) and also responds to real-time notifications from providers. If data seems stale, try triggering a manual sync from the connection settings. If the problem persists, disconnect and reconnect the account.
Missing calendars or inboxes
After connecting, go to the connection’s channel list and make sure the channels you want are enabled. Some calendars (like shared calendars or holiday calendars) may not be enabled by default.
