Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Meridian application and the me.ridian.app website, operated by Serenity Software (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using Meridian you agree to these terms.
Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use Meridian. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Meridian’s systems or other users’ data
- Use Meridian to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service
- Violate any applicable law or regulation while using Meridian
Connected Services
Meridian allows you to connect third-party accounts (e.g. Google, Microsoft) to synchronize your data. By connecting a service you authorize Meridian to access the data within the scopes you approve. You may disconnect a service at any time, which revokes our access and removes the stored tokens.
On-Device AI
Meridian offers optional on-device AI features powered by models that run locally on your hardware. AI-generated outputs (summaries, action items, parsed activities) are provided as-is and should be reviewed for accuracy before acting on them.
Intellectual Property
Meridian and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Serenity Software and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership over the content you create or synchronize through Meridian.
Data and Privacy
Your use of Meridian is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Meridian you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
Service Availability
We strive to keep Meridian available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Serenity Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Meridian.
Meridian is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use Meridian ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Meridian after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Serenity Software operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
